Imagine that you are a citizen in Pompeii on August 24, 79 AD. Write a descriptive thought that you could have had during each of the time periods listed in the article. Make sure that you include facts from the time periods in your “thought”.
1 p.m.- All of a sudden it seemed out of nowhere a massive plume of ash began rocketing out of the volcano. |

My reaction made me very sad; looking at the eruption of the volcano was devastating. I can’t imagine being in the shoes of the people who had to experience that tragedy.
